Catherine Mcinnes

Fitness & Musical Theatre Teacher

Cate is a much sought-after industry professional specialising in Jazz Dance & Hip Hop. Cate has performed as part of Melbourne United Cheerleaders and with Planetshakers at Hisense Arena as well as National Gallery of Victoria for the David Hockney, Viktor&Rolf, and Andy Warhol Exhibitions and much more. Cate has also appeared in Neighbours, 31 Questions, Wentworth, as well as TIMS – ‘I’m Sorry” music video, and a Devi Sri Prasad music video.


Cate has excelled in her dance education undertaking both VCE and VET courses. She has also received awards from Victorian Performing Arts Challenge and ComDance. Cate has been teaching Tap, Jazz, Acro and Hip Hop at BDC Dance Studios since 2017.


Cate is currently studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin University, as well as continuing to perform herself. She is currently Centre Co-Ordinator for YMCA Hawthorn. Cate always strives to achieve in her dance and fitness and enjoys working with her students to develop their own personal goals to excel in their chosen genre of dance.
